Perceived Brightness and Dimming Conclusion

Having discovered that there is no ideal way to dim LEDs, we hit the next problem: our eyes. Human visual perception of brightness is non-linear. At low light levels, our irises automatically open to let in more light – so we perceive the LED to be brighter than a simple light meter would indicate it to be.
