This design example report is a low cost, 3 W output isolated LED driver employing LinkSwitch™-II LNK604DG. This design operates in an input voltage ranging from 90 VAC to 265 VAC and delivers an output of 9 V at 330 mA. It features accurate constant current, low part-count solution, over-temperature protection with hysteretic recovery, output short-circuit and open-loop protection with auto-restart.
